Hey guys...i picked up my slicks today and i'm not sure what the best way to burn out and get them realy hot is? I dont know if i should go with the 1st gear burn out or 2 gear burnout? It seems like everytime i try to burn out, my car creeps forward even when the ebrake is way up. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. I hope for a 1.9 60' on these puppies!

you may not need to heat them up at all. too much grip and it may pull you down out of boost. no offense but you are not making a ton of power and the slicks might hook too good if heated up. i would first try a quick burn out to clean them off and see where that gets you. if you find that you still have too much wheel spin then heat them up in first gear. after that maybe try second gear only if you again had too much spin. you could also end finding the limits of your clutch. if i'm not mistaken that size slick(22/8/15 right) is designed for little to no warm up.

They are designed for warm up but not like the huge slicks. I think 3-4 sec. of spin should be pretty good. And you are right, my clutch might not like the slicks to much. My car has enough torque for slicks imo...240 at the wheels. Well, we'll see what i can do with the slicks on monday.

They will need to be warmed up, but slightly. And when you launch, launch like you hate the car. 6000 rpm or so, get off the clutch REAL fast, but not fast enough to bog. I hope you aren't running a stock clutch.

I see broken parts in your future. ;) Id go with a short burn to just get a little heat in them and clean. Too much is not good for our little front drivers.

I am on the stock clutch so there prob. is a good chance that i'll blow it up:)...that would just mean that its time for a good one.

Troy used slicks with is stock turbo/clutch and didn't run into any problems so i hope i'll be ok.
