Conspirist theorists only prove that they are idiots.

Many conspiracy theorists are foolish, not because they believe that there are conspiracies, but rather because they think that people in this country will care enough to do anything about it. The truth is that we're a bunch of lazy slobs... George W Bush could be exposed as Satan himself, and we wouldn't do jack shit about it, other than bitch and moan.

As for the conspiracies and cover-ups themselves, history shows that those sorts of things have been going on for a long time, so there's no reason to think that we are now somehow free of such things, especially when the current administration has been caught lying and manipulating. I'm not saying that all of these 9/11 and other conspiracy theories are true, but just stating the simple fact that power is always going to have some element of corruption. It doesn't matter if it's the US government, the Catholic church, or any other government or group of power, corruption and conspiracy does exist.
