Anyone have opinions? I've currently got a palmos treo 650, which is a piece of crap. Work will be replacing it for me, and I'm considering the Q and the Blackjack.

I know we've got some mobile phone fans/sales types here, so feed me info. The carrier doesn't matter - my work phone is currently Verizon, but I wouldn't have a problem switching to Cingular (or some other major carrier).

TIA.

I have a Q and I'm pretty happy with it overall. It took me a min. to get used to it. Just make sure you get the extended battery for it as it likes to suck the little battery dry in a couple of hours if you are on the net or talking alot. Only thing I'm looking into is sometimes I'm browsing and it shuts down completely and reboots. Verizon said they have never heard of this happening so I may just have a glitch in mine. Also the Q is an all digital phone (absolutely no analog) so untill Verizon goes all digital in CO there are some areas that don't get service at all. Also if you are looking for a leather case don't buy the one that folds over the top of the phone it doesn't fit with the extended battery. There is another one that opens up like a wallet that works pretty well.

Thanks for the review. My boss has signed off on the paperwork to replace my POS treo, and it looks like the Q is what's going to replace it. My preference, after doing some research, was the blackjack. However switching carriers is being discouraged.

NP. See if you can get them to spring for a 2G mini sd for you it will save your battery and its kinda like a sim card you can keep all your info on it in case it ever takes a crap. Thinking about it see if you can get an extra one for me! LOL!

If I was u I would go with the T-mobile dash. I have it and I love it. Picked it up on craigslist for $130 brand new.

I'm not in sales anymore, been out of it for about a year now, but I have always, ALWAYS despised motorola phones. Don't have any personal experience with the Q, but The blackjack is a good all around phone, and samsung handsets have always been good for me personally.

I've had enough Motorola phones to know that I prefer something else now. I have been big on LG phones lately.

Werd! Moto phones suck butt bad but the Q is different than the others and everyone I know who sells phones said the same thing. Most moto phones I've had break if you look at them crosseyed so, IF you ever made it to the ''new every two'' with your original phone in tact you could probably walk on water too! I actually dropped my Q off a 2 story roof (cringe) the other day and figured it was done but when I got to it other than some paint scratches it was fine. Motorola also changed their power cord so the phone will actually charge unlike my last one that you had to plug and unplug half a million times and then set a book on it in order to get it to charge. Anyway the Q IS different from anyother phone I've owned in general although other than the internet and sync. features I would have gotten an LG 8300 like my wifes.

I've been using moto phones forever, and honestly I like them. Don't need bells & whistles. Myself, my son and my daughter currently have razrs, and my wife has a krzr.

I've got a 1 gig miniSD card already - been using it in a carrier w/my treo.

Thanks for all the input. :)
