Ever coughed up blood?

Have any of you ever coughed up blood? I'm getting over a cold, and I have been coughing a lot.. I probably had bronchitis or something. Anyways, just about an hour ago, I noticed I'm coughing up little bits of blood with the phlegm that I'm coughing up. Any suggestions? I'd go to the ER right now, but I think my insurance will end up fucking me on the cost of it. According to this site, I have a minor case and could be fine. Any suggestions?

i coughed up a loogie once, but i think it was just blood from my nose. it looked more like a booger than.. just blood.

i've coughed up a little bit, but it was mostly from the tissue being irriated. as long as it not a on going thing i wouldn't be worryed, but if your getting over a cold some of your lungs/sinuses are proably irrated or clearing out some stuff, not a dotor but my experience

try sitting in a hot steam for awhile, usally helps me feel better.

I hear ya'... that's kind of what I was thinking. I've been coughing pretty brutally lately, and everything is finally starting to calm back down. I dunno, just wanted to get some other opinions on it... PHD or not. ;)

i just got over being sick for a month and a half and coughed up plenty of blood... I had bronchitis/pnuemonia... Never went to the doctor.. Only reason I know is my neighbor got the same thing and he went to the doctor...

I shoulda went to the doctor when I got sick. They have this cough syrup that has codiene in it. It tastes so good and I get a good buzz from it.

yeah, the only time i've ever coughed up blood it turned out to be pneumonia as well. Get over it yet? if it's getting worse try going to the doctor, cause, well, pneumonia is pretty nasty =X

nah man if youve just been coughing a lot it might just be that your throat is just really iritated and raw to the point where its bleedin a little. i had this once. no big deal. if it goes on and theres more of it then i would be concerned

I spit up blood a few times a year. The doctor doesn't say anythings wrong with me. I just got use to it. If a girl sees you spit straight blood, just tell them that you were fighting a guy that says you were not hot and the disagreement turned into a fight.
