Yessir. 2007... rode it off the showroom floor with 0 miles on it. And yes... the break-in period was agonizing. Granny driving a crotch rocket with THAT much power for 600 miles was not my idea of fun. I still haven't let it completely loose. Currently I have the rev limiter/shift light set to 10,000 - and it redlines at 13,700.

Don't worry about being a newbie. We were all newbies at one time and had to learn, problem is, the street/canyon is not the perfect place. You pick up many bad habits.

Whenever your bike is fixed, just bring it out, at least to watch and get an idea, almost gauranteed youll end up paying the 35 bucks and getting some track time.

celica man
04-05-2007, 05:31 PM
^ i got it back last week from the body shop and the pic was taken by shawn(the body tech). its now at faster/tk motorsports getting some stuff done. but yeah, i road all last weekend and felt real comfortable on the f4i. i never once felt like i wasnt in control. i just dont want to get too confident if you know what i mean.

I mean, I'm the hardware development person for a shifter kart team.. and I build/tune them. I'm pretty specialized, though. I do coatings and pistons and clutches, and eliminate gears as necessary.. stuff like that. I'm not really good at tuning them yet, but I can do that too.

I rode the bike to work on Sunday which was pretty nice. The ride home however sucked something awful. Because I ride with a backpack, the wind was making things a little shitty even when I was tucked down.

All the instructors are independent contractors so we have nothing to do with the business side of the classes, we just do the teaching.

I just got the bike. I like how it sits compared to the old ninja I had. You do not have to try to lean forward. Lot more space in the back to put shit too.
