They were both great deals that I couldn't pass up. The Supra tranny is good for 700+hp and the 300 will just be a daily driver(when it's not snowing).

Typically automatic Supra's are faster than manuals(1/4 mile). Lots of the big boys run Chevy th400 automatic transmissions or powerglides. I love automatic Turbo cars myself...I've owned 3 along with 4 manual turbo cars.

Congrats on the purchase but with an auto tranny I don't think my Eclipse would've been the same but maybe with AWD manual is better. I have heard the high pony Supras are much easier to launch and control down the 1/4 mile with the auto.

Ya, the fastest drag Supra's out there (titan, etc) are all using automatics, just not my pot of beans for a street car
