Which one would you do (more reliable, more hp, whatever reason) Im contemplating on which one to do so any help from you guys would be very much appreciated.

I would go lsturbo because I hear ls/vtec is unreliable and sometimes vtec doesn't even kick in. Another reason is if your gonna drag race, then a turbo will be handy at our high altitude. If you want a sleeper then go ahead and get ls/vtec.

 @ the uneducated response above.

LS/VTEC is NOT unreliable. It's only unreliable if the dumbshit that builds your motor doesn't know wtf he's doing. ;)

If VTEC doesn't even engage, it's not because of the build, most likely. Odds are you have a whole 'nother world of issues. I ran my LS/VTEC motor for over a year with no problems, and put down 330 hp on only 13 psi. Go LS/VTEC, AND boost it.. that's what I'd do. ;)

A VTEC head flows much better than an LS head, so with an LS/VTEC setup, you have the low compression of an LS, with the better airflow of a VTEC motor.

I had an idiot friend that made an attempt to do ls/vtec by himself. It was funny.

ls vtec is not hard at all... it is supper easy if your using the golden eagle kit

It IS very easy, but very easy to not do properly, as well.

THIS! coming from a geo-owner?..I say if you want torque to be decent.. then go LS-vtec..but if you want horsepower.. LS turbo would be more fun..
LS vtec and turbo= the most fun!

i have to say from experience, that my ls turbo motor was not lacking any torque. I believe that I was laying down just as much power on my ls turbo than on my turbo gsr now, with the same kit. I had a lot more fun in my ls turbo integra than I have in my turbo gsr teg.

LS turbo, you can always add the head later or visa versa.

Im running a LS with 0 miles on bottom end and a fully built head minus cams..... in the summer sometime

Yeah the D's and LS motors have a longer stroke for more torque. Its great.my Z6 had 160 hp with 160 lbs/tq. My friends b16a had 230hp with 130lbs/tq. I just need a little more boost to beat him.

I may be a Geo owner (and a WRX owner) but I know way the fuck more than you think. He has two choices and LS turbo is the only one that will make his car fast. LS VTEC up here by itself is a noise maker.

:werd: I got 239 ft-lbs out of a LS Turbo @ 9 psi... an all motor LS/VTEC is like 130 ft-lbs, if you're lucky.

My suggestion is which ever one you can afford.

Blah blah blah. I made 233 ft/lbs. on 13 psi on a turbo much too large for the boost I was running. LS/VTEC setups make torque perfectly fine.

Well judging from your first post in this thread I'm gonna go ahead and assume that you're talking about yourself.

Sweet!
Good opinion.I agree with both as well.
I was picking on you and forgot the LOL!. I guess I was having a bad typing day.
