Nerdcore has come a long ways in the last few years..mostly because of events like PAX and just the all consuming power of the internet. Of course I'm pathetic and sad because I can relate and understand it all..but hey..thats the point right?

I must of seen a different video than you.

I saw some people who are obviously enjoying what they are doing and celebrating something they consider to be a big part of how they live their life. Nothing really funny about that. That is of course, if you are mature enough to realize that the way you live your life isn't the only or best way one can live theirs.

What's funny to me, is that some people think so highly of themselves that they find humor in the way other people spend their free time, simply because they are to ignorant to understand it.

I respect what these people do. A big theme to it is that they don't give a fuck what people think about their lifestyle, which is a good thing, because otherwise people like you might actually have an impact on them. They are OK with who they are. They don't need to artificially reinforce their self esteem and boost their ego by laughing at people they don't understand to convince themselves that they are 'cool'.

You think PAX makes someone a "fucking dork"? What about sitting in a parking lot with a bunch of dudes looking under each others hoods for hours? How about watching two guys wearing almost nothing attack each other while cheering for the one you like the most? That is pretty fucking pathetic to me. At least these Nerdcore guys are actually doing something productive.

I listen to a lot of rap/hip hop, and I haven't heard any nerdcore music that I really enjoy, but it's good to listen to from time to time. It's good to know that there are people out there comfortable enough with what they are doing. The people writing the music enjoy doing it, and there are people who enjoy listening to it.

If you think Nerdcore pushes the limit, than Wizard Rock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wizard_rock) must be HILARIOUS to you.
