The results look good but I would imagine that it would be easy to get some nasty scratches or swirl marks.

There are all sorts of chemicals that do a fairly decent job of removing a light layer of dust. I might use it if the car was garaged all the time and that was the only thing that needed to be washed off. Normal dirt/road grime I wouldn't want to polish into the paint like that.
