The first A4 I had my eye on was 'sold out from under me', even though I had what the current owner referred to as the first right of refusal on the car.

So on to the 2nd on my list.

This was the first (http://jsalmi.com/tmp/audi)

And this is the second (http://jsalmi.com/audi2)

Both cars are '98 A4 1.8 tq AWDs. The first was detailed, even under the hood, whereas the 2nd is still a commuter for the current owner. But, it appears that the 2nd has the 'sport' pkg, which I think is the 3 spoke steering wheel, slightly different suspension (lowered just a bit? can anyone verify/deny that?), and the power sunroof.

I've got the downpayment from the buyer of the Supra, and it's looking like he'll be here the on Aug 31st for the car. I hope to fly to Houston for the A4 on monday sept 2nd. :)

I sure see a difference but I could not tell you if there is a sport package for the A4 but I'd rather have the blue one it probably will look better with some mod then the red ( marroon) I don't want to be yelled at by some kind of bug haha
but the blue would get my vote but that me

The Sport Pkg on a '98 A4 included:

- 16-inch, 7-spoke cast aluminum wheels with 205/55 R 16 high performance tires

- Leather wrapped, 3-spoke sport wheel

- Sport Suspension

The sunroof was part of the Convenience Package, which also included keyless entry and the folding "switchblade" key.

According to Audi a stock '98 1.8T quattro manual ran 0-60 in 8.1 and had a top speed of 130.

Hope this helps!

I do like the second one john and that's too bad about the first one. I'm still looking for one too and have found a few, but kinda have my eye on one in texas. Don't worry it's not the same one, this one is silver :) Good luck to you though

Glitter - I take it you got my PM/email? Isn't it remarkable how much more that the "same" car is here in Colorado?

By flying to Houston & driving back, I'm still saving around $2000 - $2500... :) :) :)

My friend's dad got a Volvo S70 for 17,000 from Texas. Is there some kind of huge markup in CO or something? Oh yeah, on your way back down, stop by my work and I'll shine that engine right up!
