Please give a small description of your setup....

- Dyno #'s
- Track Times
- Daily driven?
- pics?

Just wondering how many of you there are crusing around Colorado....(I have seen ONE turbo honda on the street since October....a turbo'd Teg)

Just ask if you'd like to know my setup, and my....plans;RoCkOn;

Maybe we could also setup a meet some-where-sometime.....?

2000 Honda Civic EX.
Stock SOHC block and head.
JRSC @ 8 PSI.
Got 145 WHP @ 6 PSI, and have more mods since then. I'm guessing somewhere around 165-170 WHP right now.

Best time so far is 16.225 at Bandimere, hoping for high 15s the next time I go (obtainable IMO).

Yes it's daily driven (except for those days I don't feel like going anywhere :))

hmm, no good pics... was looking at Sony digital cameras and camcorders today... fiancee says to wait for christmas :bounce:

nice.....

didn't you say your installing a nitrous setup?

It's a WET shot right?....how much?

I'm setting up a Phased Propane injection for my built motor....and then just boost the hell out of it instead of spraying the nitrous.

Three of us had supercharged SI's up until about a month ago when we all sold them...lol. I was running 10 psi ran a best of a 14.701 on street tires with full interior.

yeah nitrous eventually, not sure when exactly. I'd ultimately like to get it in before IDRC in September but not sure if that will happen. I'm planning to do a dry setup down by the filter in the CAI so it can disperse more througout the intake, and it will be harder to see.... I'm thinking that way I can go with a bit bigger of a shot too, like maybe a 40 shot... It would be nice to see 60 added horses or better from that through the blower, then I'd for sure be somewhere be in the 14s with 200+ WHP. My biggest problem with it right now is I need a clutch as it is... juicing it would for sure destroy the clutch within a run or two down the track, the stock clutch is that bad. Maybe I should get that done now before butch moves and worry about nitrous next year

DO THE CLUTCH!!!

There is nothing more embaracing then going to the track with your "hard parts" but then just toast your clutch at the start (THIS IS WHAT I DID)

I am replacing my stocker with an Exedy Pressure plate and a custom made 6 puck metallic disc as we speak (errrr type)

This thing is NOT going to slip:D

Just hope I don't kill my tranny....:gapteeth:

sweet not bad at all

Bryson

there should really be no bad effects of using Propane also....

It should be installed AFTER the BOV as it is a FUEL not an Oxidizer like Nitrous, and could possibly ignite in the engine bay.

You should have no problems what so ever with running it assuming everything else in the setup can handle the power increase....

Best thing of all......It's CHEEP!!

Not to mention abundant.:Peace:

How much more whp are you going to get with propane

It all depends on how much boost I increase, and how hot the initial intake temps are...

The Propane injects at -60 degrees F.....and I am going to boost about 5-8psi more then I am without it, so.....

I would say 40-70 more HP.....

It really all depends on how hot my turbo blows at 25psi (still undecided for turbos) and how much boost I increase.

I will be boosted once again in a couple days. With my prior setup I was able to run 13.1 at 109mph on drag radials on 15psi of boost. I dynoed at 325hp and 235tq. It was my daily driver until a valve retainer gave out. On my new setup I will be in the 12's for sure. No pics right now, but it looks like all the other blue Si's out there.

I've had my Greddy kit for a month now, here's the stats.
18G turbo with internal wastegate @6 psi
I'm currently using the greddy blue box fuel management, when I get a Hondata, I'll turn up the boost to 8
I'm still learning but ran a 15.4 (damn I gotta launch higher)
I'm not going to dyno until I get my Intercooler, which seems like never, and when it comes in, I'm going to get either the N tercooler from NX, or fabricate my own sprayer system to spray C02 on it so it's nice and frosty
Mine is daily driven, with minor heat up problems. Oh yeah, the front tires keep lighting up, trying to fix that. (yeah right)

Did you check out upcoming events? I'm trying to see if some people want to get together for a little lunch and a drive. You should make it.

here's my stats(though incomplete)
b20 vtec with itr head
161 hp-120.8 tq
ran 15.55 at bandi(too lean)
added jrsc with upgrade pulley and crv crank pulley(11 psi)
175 hp-180.4 tq
never ran at the track
at sea level it went to 13.5 psi
when i get back down there i'll let you know what she runs(as i intend to find a dragstrip to find out)

i've had my si supercharged from day one for over 3 years now. all i've done is upgrade the fuel pump and add a cheap intake. More to come very soon (i hope) now that the warrenty is over.

I have a 98 Civic EX with an F-Max turbo kit, 3" Thermal R&D cat back exhaust, AEM Tru-Time cam gear (set at 0 for now) and a few other mods. My best time at Bandimere was a 15.1 @ 94 MPH. Not too bad for a SOHC not tuned. I was running 11 PSI that day!!!

Whats with such a low increase in whp from N/A to 11 psi..................14 whp just seems low for what was added.

VERY low.. so it seems..
take a look at the torque.. that was a huge gain over N/A
thia is what seems to move this car.. however i think the hp can be gained back with some cam tuning.. i lost a lot of high rpm capabilities too..went from 9k to 7.3k so some of my higher boost must be going somewhere... i hope it's out the exhaust.. that's my next move(cam gears).. i'll keep up to date on this.. according to some research i've done.. the combo i have(crv pulley and 3.8 blower pulley is astronomical boost levels for the jrsc)should not be attempted.so i may have overstepped my boundaries here.. we shall see...:C

Hey,
Thats funny you said that, I just finally found all my Zaino stuff so I was planning on getting ahold of Paul one of these days. I definately need to clean her up, maybe before Import Nationals if Paul has any time.
Talk to you later.

I have a b16 with a T28/T3 on it. On my old turbo (Greddy 18G) I made 286 hp to the wheels and managed a best of what is in my sig. I really like the quicker boosting smaller turbo. I have yet to turn it up to levels I was running before (15psi), but I will be putting it on the dyno after I do. It has WAY more torque down low, so it should be interesting to get it on the track.
