View Full Version : Suspension works
I am planning on working on my suspension and to begin, it will be some good struts on good springs or coilovers. I am looking at the Tokico Illuminas, but unsure of its quality. I am also debating whether to get adjustable coilovers or springs that will give it a good drop. Looking to get a drop with maybe 1 finger between tire and fender. I would like to know your setups of struts + springs and its quality. I am looking for a comfortable + smooth ride. Looking to spend around $500 or less.

Good luck man, lot's of options out there. Whatever you do, don't listen to a guy named Weston on here, he thinks he knows it all, but really he's just a ricer in a wookie costume.

I know a lot of people are running koni adjustables, don't seem to have problems. But, a fully adjustable coilover setup (that is worth a damn) is going to run you at least 800 man, Just FYI.

I had Ground Control coilovers with KYB AGX shocks on my GSR and then transferred them over to my Civic. I liked them. Price wasnt too bad either. $300 for the coilover springs, $300 for the KYB.

I've got a set of Apex-i T-max struts that I'm selling 7 way dampening and 1.5'' adjustability just on the strut add sprint springs its about a 3 3/4'' drop max. good setup for both street and track. LMK if you're interested.

I would consider just saving up to get a full coilover set. They are only a few more hundred bucks than any worthwhile spring/shock combo and are normally much more adjustable and a better fit to your vehicle.
Omni Power Sport $649.99

Skunk2 Pro S Full $599.00

Tokico Illumina $820.00

TEIN Basic $712.00

This isn't the specific site, but those are some suspension setups that I am willing to spend money for. Of which of these would be preferred for a smooth and comfortable ride for the streets?

I guess you are looking for something more street-able. the KYB and GC combo would probably work out best.

if you are looking for a nice drop and plushy ride quality with some performance along with it go with the Teins, guess they are pretty soft
