what is the best way to run a head that was for a ls-vtec on a v-tec block again? I heard you can use a ls head gasket and set the block up the same way or unplug the head oiling port. Never thought about doing this before but a buddy presented me with a challange. Need info a.s.a.p.

well, when you do an ls-vtec, you take out a plug on the head, and feed the oil line kit in there. you need to replug that hole, and just use a stock headgasket for whatever engine it is. ie. use a gsr headgasket for gsr or b16 for a b16. they are both the same anyways.
Ummmm.. forgetting something there, guy? One minor detail? ;)
There's also a plugged oil passage hole on the passenger-front side of the head. If it's a hex style plug, just pull it out. If it's any other style, you may have to drill out the plug, and make sure you clean that head like a mother fucker to get ANY shavings out in case you have to go the drilling route.

just put some grease on the plug and the drill bit before you drill it. It'll catch most of the metal shavings. Then backflush the passage.
