How are you guys doing on your 60', and how has it affected your ET when you improve it? I was always under the impression that .1 improvment on the 60' is worth .2 on the ET, but I improved my 60' by .11, and reduced the cars weight by 200 lbs and only saw a .15 improvemnt on my ET. Maybe it was the weather?

60: 1.762
ET: 13.201

True. I ran an 11.9 @ 126 with a 2.2 second 60', and an 11.4 @ 123 with a 1.9 60'...

When I had my Civic I went from running 2.4 60 foots on street tires to running 2.2 60 foots on drag radials and still had identical 14.9's every time. I have no idea what the problem was, but I was expecting to cut nearly a half second off and ended up running identical times.

my first time at the track (in this car):

first run was a 16.2@86. 2.3 60'

second run was a 15.5@86. 2.0 60'

i'd say it makes a big diff.

What RPM were you dropping the clutch at both times? or were you feathering the clutch?

2.0 60' 13.9s - 14.0s

If I hit 1.9-1.9s I run 13.5s-13.6s.

Clutch drop, I never feather. I'm trying to remember the rpm. Street tires was around 3500 and with drag radials closer to 5k or 5500

So it looks like everyone else is seeing the expected gains from 60' improvement but me. Well, Im gonna have to say it was temp. My 1.87 60 was in May with a 13.35. Temp was low. Then in August I got the 1.76 60 with the 13.20 ET with a higher temp. So who knows, maybe in September or October Ill get my 12s.

I have a 1.8sec 60' on my 12.81 with the stock motor w/ turbo kit set-up on 20"/7"/14" M/H slicks, then on the same slicks w/ the All-motor LS/VTEC, I had that 14.21 on a 1.9 60' .

My best was a 2.2 on my first try with drag radials.

I can run consistent 13.25's with 2.15-2.2 sixties, while my MPH range from 106-110.

I have also run a 13.0@106 with a 1.97, 60'

These are all on street tires too.

My best was a 2.519 on H rated tires. Any suggestions on how to lower that?

It's all in the 60'. Unless you get off the throttle during the run. A single 1/10 of a second taken off the 60' can subtract 2/10 from the ET.

How to lower the 60'? Get some really sticky tires, heat them up good, and launch the car like you hate it. Small displacement high revving motors need to launch way up high in the RPM band as that's where ANY power is made. Rev to 6k and slip the clutch through nearly all of 1st.

I finally hit my first 1.7 60' last night,a 1.79 to be exact but it didn't better my 1/4 mile time but came within two hundreths of it.

Anybody have some drag radials for sale?? Or know a place I could pick up a pair for pretty cheap? Just interested in giving them a try to see how much they would help.
