It doesn't really effect your idle, it just effects your daily traffic driving...
I had 404 cams and a 9lb flywheel in my teg and drove it daily with no problems, you dont have alot of inertia in your clutch pedal so thats what makes it difficult to drive in traffic.
Benefits is that it rev's quicker, gets your in your powerband faster...
I loved mine!

ive never heard of anything about the idle changing at all. I dont think there are any disadvantages but it frees up parasitic loss and helps drop and rev quicker.

The main disadvantage is less inertia in the flywheel to initially get the car moving. If you like to drag race, this can make it tricky, but not impossible, to launch the car.

I never had any trouble drag racing my car with my Fidanza 7lb flywheel. As to advantages, it does wrap quite a bit faster, if and when i do get a clutch/flywheel setup again though, i will get both of them from ACT as i didnt like the Fidanza with my HDSS compared to Toyz51's setup of the ACT flywheel and the HDSS. I had more chatter, and it was rougher to shift, and downshift. I cant really think of any disadvantages of them, i really liked mine in my hatch.

I didn't notice any change in idle with a 9.8lb flywheel on my Integra, and it really didn't seem like it was much more likely to stall either. My clutch makes much more of a difference for that than my flywheel does.
