I am still in my quest to get my CRX running so that I can get into your shop and get some dyno tuning love.

I was just doing some reading on the Hondata forum that they do not recommend DSM injectors. I have been running DSM450's w/ my resistor box in my CRX for a long time and not had any problem.s

Have you found this to be true what they say?

DSM 450cc injectors will not work with the Honda ECU - the electrical characteristics of the injector are not suited to the ECU, resistor box or no resistor box.

If you use DSM 450cc injectors you will find the engine difficult to start, and the engine running lean at part thottle, plus tuning is very difficult.

I've been running DSM 450's with a resistor box for over 3 years with no problem. The car starts right up, runs good, there's no problem tuning it, and it passes the strictest emissions limits in the state.

Yeah, I have been running them for about 3 years too. I just thought it was odd that Hondata would recommend against them.

I've ran Hondata s100, s200 and s300 with DSM's with no issues :dunno:

Are you really that out of the loop?

I have been running the DSMs for almost 3 years w/o problem. I just noticed this post from Hondata that they don't recommend the 450s. I just thought it might be interesting to get some feedback from a Hondata dealer AND someone with a lot of tuning experience WHY they might say that.

Yes and no. because they run at such high current capacities it is slightly difficult to tune partial throttle, and idle/startup functions correctly. But I ran them on my racecar for several years as well as scores of my customers.
