Where should i thread the oil sending unit into the block on an h22?

I cant seem to find the "port" for the factory "low pressure switch", and theres an opening below the filter where the old sending unit is mounted, the old unit does not work, and im not sure if its because of wheres it mounted, or if its because of a faulty unit itself.

Get a t-fitting and a male-to-male adapter. Use the male-to-male to plug the t-fitting to the block. Plug the sending unit into the T part, and plug the stock sending unit into the other end of the fitting.

got all that :biggthump

i need to know which outlet i can use in an h22 block.

Theres an opening directly below the oil filter, and i cant find the opening for the low pressure switch thats above the filter... cant find the switch either. I know B's and H's are different, but are they THAT different?

I would think you could just use the factory location that the stock sending unit hole is at. That's how you do it on a B-series. I wouldn't think they'd be THAT different.

i tried finding that unit, but it seems to be blocked off and removed or something, the only sensor i found on the back of the block was up under the intake manifold and most definatly did not look anything like the switch honda showed me.

The stock unit is near the oil filter like on a B-series. I remember seeing this on my roommates old H-series when he was going to hookup his oil pressure gauge.

did he also have what appear to be coolant lines running right above the filter?

Where was it in relation to the filter?

above? below?

Above the coolant lines?

Hmmmm I don't remember that to be honest. Hopefully someone else can chime in to help a little bit.

lmao ya.... i just went and checked again, this is the ONLY sensor that goes into the back of the block, and like previously stated... it looks NOTHING like what i saw at the honda dealership
