can you put ls crank and rods in a gsr block? I am not sure if the ls and gsr blocks had the same heigth. i know the b16 has a shorter block, but not sure about the gsr. i want to build a gsr block with ls crank, rods and b16 pistons if it will work. anyone have input?

Yeah, the blocks are the same height.

Once again, if you don't have anything useful to say, then don't post.

so you do think that this will work right?

It's my understanding that people have used a LS crank and rods in a GS-R block before. I've heard that the B16 pistons are compatible with the LS rods, but I really don't know the details on that.

o,, well I would like to do the most with what i have. I think it should be a decent setup to run some boost on. i will have that bottom end with the gsr girdle, and a b16a2 head on it in my dc teg.

LS rod/crank/pistons go right into a GSR with no problems. just gotta buy the right bearings.

not sure if B16 pistons fit on LS rods without issues, but im sure they will, they just yield a pretty high compression from my understanding, however you should be able to run the low amounts of boost that you want to run.

you have one problem with your plan though. i just remembered that from what i was told it is VERY VERY hard to remove stock cast pistons from the stock rods.

when you try to remove the B16 pistons from their rods there is a good chance they will be damaged.

i have a 4 ton hydraulic press at my old work i have used before. I took 8 ls pistons off of the rods there before, and with no damage from what i could tell.

There are a lot of people that use LS cranks in GSRs. More torque. Jeremy(Servion) has it in his car.

I'm doing same to mine.
