well looks like all they loan out is hand tools...i.e. pulley pullers, spring compressors etc

I am pretty sure that OBD2 uses the same port connector on all OBD2 vehicles. So if you have one that reads only Hondas that really doesn't make sense, it should read all cars. The EPA requires all cars sold in the U.S. to be OBD2 compliant, thus same codes and port. Now there are some codes specific to the manufacture.

The plug has to be the same, but the pin arrangement isn't always the same between manufacturers.

just did that. i needed the code scanner because my land rover threw a check engine light, and unlike honda's where you can jump a connector and have the light flash the error, these POS's you can't.
