99 Durango Electrical Problems [Archive]

I have a friend with a 99 Durango that is having some electrical issued with his car. The left and right turn signals do no work at all (nothing comes on), also the radio in the car will not turn on.

I checked the fuses to both the radio and turn signals and both are good.

What else should I be looking for?

you get a CD deck installed?? or messed with it? check the grounds! and make sure the wires not being used on the harness adapter IF you have a aftermarket cd player etc... are not touching getting grounded.

It is an aftermarket system and it was working for while till just the other day. I will check to make sure its grounded.

durangos have this weird crap where if the bulbs in the light arent inserted justst right the stereo will not work. Mine did the same thing when I changed the tail lights. Have him mess with the lights while someone presses on the break pedal, messes with the signals and turns on the drive lights untill they work. Or have him give me a call and I can descibe it in more detail.
