anyone ever have a problem with a main fuel relay buzzing? heres what led to it... I had a spoon earthing kit installd on my car and it was driving good pulled into the garage and took the kit off (sold it to a buddy) then I didnt mess with my car for about a month so I forgot that I had taken it off and not replaced it. So I start the car (I'm amazed it ran at all) and backed it into the driveway. Then it stalled I realized my error and put 3 grounds back on then tried to start it again and the main relay began to buzz. I bought a new main relay but it wouldnt start and no fuel pump buzz. Went to the junk yard and bought a bunch of these relays from other cars. poped it in and it ran perfect...for about 30 sec. then BUZZZ and it dies. I replaced the fuel pump and checked all the wiring every thing was fine put another relay in and it fires right up, runs good then BUZZZZ and dies again. The fuel pressure gauge says good fuel presure until relay buzzes obviously shutting off the fuel pump. Havent messed with it since because I wanted to take a sledge to the car. Anyone with ideas or willing to take a look?

What 3 grounds did you put back on? Are all the grounds on now? Did you accidently ground a power wire?

OK sorry bout that... the earthing kit consists of a battery tranny and head ground wires all to chassis. When I took the kit off I reinstalled the battery ground but not the others and forgot that I didn't when I started it. Yes I did connect them again with the addition of an extra one I had laying around that was the 3rd and no these are again only chasis to engine/tranny grounds so they are not connected to any positive current. I was thinking it might be the ignition shorting out but I just want as much input as possible.

if your thinking the main relay isn't grounded, find out what wire it is out of a book and tap into it with a jumper wire, grounded to a known good ground.
