tires are key. i have a set of yokahama avs es100's and they grip to the road like glue.

^^^ What he said. Lower tie i noticed a difference. Also a huge double decker park bench wing made out of pop cans and sheet metal will help the most!

Man i couldnt disagree more, ive had two sets of these tires and they are complete crap IMO. The only weather they are decent in is 100 degree weather. If you have any power to them at all, they are horrible as well.

ES100s are pretty decent tires... I used to AutoX my Celica GT-S on them. They did wonderful... but when they heat up they get a little greasy.

But...

Take a driving class. A lot of people (including myself) could benefit greatly from a good driving school. You might not even be maxing out your suspension now but if you're taking the turn wrong, you will think you need a better suspension. Just my $.02.

True, for the money i guess they are decent, but if he wants his car to handle like "a dream" i would really go with way better tires. At least Falken Azenis. I just hated them on my EG with boost, and in any amount of moisture they completly suck ass. When i had drag radials on daily they did better than ES100's did in rain.

:werd: Exactly. There's a hell of a lot more to it than just having the balls to push the car hard in the turns. Until you know how to make the most of what you already have, "upgrading" your suspension wont make you any faster, other than to give you the false-confidence to push it harder and take more risks. It will also make the car less safe and less forgiving of driver mistakes, which I can guarantee that you're already doing without even realizing it. There are a lot of little, subtle, things that you can learn to do, or not to do, that will greatly improve your speed and control in the corners. The more you modify your car, the harder (and less safe) it is to learn good driving habits and car control.

Sign up for an HPDE event... http://www.NasaRockyMountain.com

For just a $40/year membership fee (includes subscription to Grassroots Motorsports) and around $100 per track day, you'll get plenty of time on a real race track in your own car, with an experienced racer to show you how and where you can go faster with more control. If you look at the price of race car instructors, you'll find that the cost of going to a NASA event is dirt cheap. You'll also get to play with other cars a bit (in a safe manner), see how more experienced drivers in the other run groups approach the same track, and watch a few wheel-to-wheel races.

If you really want your car to handle like a dream, just drive drunk. That's very dream like.

Tires, bushings, and I was told that a roll cage helps ur suspension alot.....(not sure about how true is this) but from what I was explained it made sense.

To each there own i guess. These tires unfortunatly came on my Integra that i just got, as soon as they are wore out, im going to get Falken 512's or Azenis.

Tires as mentioned, and driver mods, but don't forget a proper alignment, this can really take your newly learned driver skills, and brand new tires, and make sure you're using all them to their potential.

Definitly, I don't know how many cars I have seen with a lot of money in the suspension and they have no camber kit and their toe is way out of spec as well.

how can I "max" out my Suspension?
How can I tell it my car is lowered properly?
