I was thinking about the camp gound thing. I'm sure those types of places have a "quiet time"
I'm not sure about Moab since I've never been there but we should think about camping out away from people and then if you girls need a shower then you could drive over and pay (like at lake mcconaghey)

Dave_L

Last time I went to Moab, we went to Canyonlands Nat'l park first. We camped there for like 3 days. The closest ranger station was 50 miles away and it took some wheelin' to get to our spot. However, it was super cool. We were able to swim and jump off 20 ft cliffs into the river. Then we camped 1 night once we got into moab. At that point, we wanted a shower so we got a hotel room for the last 2 nights.

Taken from CO4x4.org:

I'd Avoid The KOA in Moab

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FYI,

The KOA Campground kicked us out last year 1/2 of the way through EJS week because they caught us checking our oil, & "working on vehicals" is not allowed.

Conrad
02-06-2007, 10:18 AM
well we can do a one nighter there for a shower if needed... but yeah Im guessing some minor wrenching will be taking place.

chrisbarnett01

Archview campground on the North side has never had a problem with us working on it, but then again neither has KOA.

I've had jeeps dismantled at both, and KOA has nicer bathrooms and is closer to town and the gas station with free air.

Dude conrad I almost scored a Kennebell for the jeep it was pretty effn cheap too...guy sold it tho..sucks. I was a little late...

I guess lift kit and wheels will do it for now, probably do headers, exhaust, intake and a chip.

I'm getting closer to being ready. I have my 33's now, comp cutting tonight and ordering the lift this week.

Brandon
03-26-2007, 04:18 PM
nice.

I just want to bob the bed and maybe an exo before the trip. A dual case would be nice but I don't see that happening without a job.

So I think I would like to go. if anybody has any room left in their truck that would be sweet. I am an auto body tech so if you get any dents along the way thats cool but if it breaks down thats on you.

chrisbarnett01
03-26-2007, 10:31 PM
easter jeep safari is next week, and none of the 3 jeeps work right now. The CJ on 35's barely runs, the TJ on 37's still has no driveshafts, and the YJ on 42's has a missing valvebody.

boo

I still want to go with you guys on this trip, but it strongly depends on my time off allowance and my $$ fund.

Conrad
03-27-2007, 07:46 AM
Chris you better not back out now!!!

Yeah I would have liked to go to easter jeep but its far to pricey and im not ready either.

I'll throw my hat in the ring, but I'm just a lil' guy; all stock n whatnot, so i'll hafta either sit out the big stuff, or use the byepasses.

Oh... and +1 for NO campground. WTF you bitches think you're picking up in the middle of the DESERT... I don't care if you stink, you're in your own truck...

2 days driving? it takes 5 hours. I could drive there, back home to get my pillow, and then back again to moab all in one day, and still have enough energy to hit a trail.

also Easter jeep safari isn't expensive, just don't register with the Red Rock club(maybe 20% of attendees actually do), and do your own thing like the other 5,000 people there.
