M3 has CAI, exhaust and maybe a chip. I say maybe bc there is a sticker where you plug the programmer in that says it has been reprogrammed, but I dont know for sure.

cool... just kinda curious what the general concensus is because i always use corrected numbers and other people dont seem to be down with that. i figured in the area we'd use the corrected numbers just eo be on par with everyone else.

Tobi, I think the difference in the before and after must have been corrected vs. uncorrected. Is there any way to tell from the printout what it is showing?
I have a feeling the printout I had from last time was corrected, but the numbers you did this time were uncorrected, which is why my previous curve was like almost 30hp short of what showed on the new printout. But I'm just guessing at this point...

It says on the top or your printout Correction: SAE or NONE. This will tell you. Most of the prints were corrected with the SAE method, I had one guy in the middle of the day who wanted uncorrected numbers and I forgot to go back in and reset the computer after so a few slipped in there that were uncorrected numbers.
chrisbarnett01
01-29-2007, 06:26 PM
Yes, mine in that list are uncorrected.
The corrected #'s for the Miata are 144 hp and 145 ft lbs.

We probably won't be having another dyno day until the spring.
Teggy - yes you can come down & get your car dynoed. A baseline is 2 runs for $40. If you want to do your own tuning & rent the dyno for an hour, it's $80. If you want Tobi to tune, it $150/hr. Give us a call (720) 974-0888 if you'd like to schedule an appointment.

I dunno, but for reference I hit 144 correct whp with my Miata, and sport compact car got 151 our of theirs when they tested it at sea level.
Altitude and 18k miles on the spark plugs could be the reason for the 7 hp difference, so I think his dyno is pretty accurate.
smithz
02-01-2007, 07:09 PM
BTW Tobi, I looked at the printout and it was corrected last time, uncorrected this time. What was the correction factor that day... I know one of you had it.

altitude should have no effect if using corrected numbers if im not mistaken
chrisbarnett01

A turbo will work differently at altitude, so yes it makes a difference.
Of course every turbo is different, which is why correction factors are retarded.
