View Full Version : HAI, Need your help! Solid CEL After Wire Tuck.

I finished my tuck, I now have a Solid CEL usually meaning the ECU is fried, but it isn't fired. Works fine in my friends car. Is there something that I am missing? Battery is relocated to the trunk and wired like so (see diagram). Fuel pump also doesn't prime and as far as I know the main relay is good. I have had problems in the past but I don't know what is causing the solid cel if the ECU is good. ALSO ECU Fuse is good in the fuse box. Fuse box is relocated to the glove box. 94 Civic Sedan, Obd1 Computer, OBD2 B18C Motor and harness. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
NOTE: Kill switch is non existant.

Pete, like Hung said, check all your grounds. Make sure no connections jarred loose, make sure all plugs are still snug, and make sure you have more cowbell.

my o2 has been cliped off. I depined it and taped it together. But.. it is turned off in my ECU. I have thought about the Grouding part. Maybe add more grounds?
CHECK!

Hey, I wrote you back on honda-tech.
Also, just an FYI, the above diagram won't pass tech for a kill switch. The reason is because the alternator will provide power to the fusebox when the car is running, so removing the battery won't actually kill the car. You need to run the alternator to the other side of the kill switch

there's a sketch (sp?) from saturday night live with Will Ferrell when he played the cowbell in i forget what band its suposed to be, but Christopher Walken is the producer and he keeps stopping them and telling the band he needs to hear more cowbell.

Thanks man! All of the engine wiring is on the motor. Hense the name 'tuck' ;) The headlights wires are ran, but not hooked up just yet because i was having issues. I think i have it figured out. I will know for sure tonight. Try to make it to the dyno day, and bring them windsheild wipers! Also looking forward to seeing the Hatch.

Tell me about it I really wanna make it to the tunning part of it but my car is kinda on the back burnner right now. My life is kinda going crazy right now, I love my car and it ranks close to cleanlyness of Pete's and Mario's but not as nice. So I am still kinda bouncing around selling the thing, but we will see.:drink:
