i can buy a complete b18a1 head for 80 bucks shipped to me minus the distributor, now i do porting and polishing work. would i be able to make my money back if i fully disassembled, parts washed the head, repaint the valve cover and put some new intake and exhaust gaskets on it for port matching. my total cost into it would be 120 bucks including the head.
porting intake side
porting exhaust side
polishing exhaust side
polishing combustion chamber
head surfaced
everything pre lubed and reassembled
what would i be able to get for this after its all said an done if i were to sell it? im seeing if its worth it

What kind of proof or reputation do you have of your port and polish work? I think this will be the big factor in how much you will actually get for it.

+1 granted you need to start somewhere, but it all depends on the quality of the finished prouct.

i don't know of any place that has flow benches up north, if somebody knows one i would love to see what the heads flow.
i was thinking about 300 bucks for what you see on any 4 cylinder head

basicly all i was doing is port matching and smoothing out the casting flaws, i barely take any material off if i had a flow bench i would do it
