I don't know how many of you read political/social satirists or are old enough to remember him, but the guy was brilliant and frequently hilarious. I used to never miss his nationally syndicated column. His doctors told him he would be dead by last February after his kidneys failed and he refused dialysis, but he mysteriously failed to die, joking about it the whole time.
