Ya PMI, or what ever they are calling themselves now, isn't that great. It's a poor mans strip. The road course isn't that great either. It's worse then 2nd Creek, if you know that place. Not open any more, awwww!

Colorado Springs is currently in the works for getting a new track, unless something happened that I don't know about.

Something is always is the works, so dont hold your breath.

A new track is being built way out east. Road course, dragracing and dirt racing I think too.

They have been talking about a track in colorado springs for at least 10 years. I wouldn't hold your breath either ;)

There is Grand Junction and Julesburg also, but that are far away from most of us.

PMI might not be great but it is better than street racing.

Pueblo is below 5000 by a bit, maybe 500 ft?

pueblo sucks! I went there once and will never go back. The staging area isn't flat so you have to hold the brake while staging. Then their timing system. You either get someone elses ticket or none at all. The shut down area is small at the end of the track whcih is dangerous, then on top of that it's a road course at the end that isn't very well lit so you have to figure out how to get back to the pits. Fuck that track.

that dont sound too good, i want to see what my slowness will run here, compared to back home in Oklahoma at 1000 ft..

Bandimere: Pay $30 and get 4-5 runs (if you are lucky)
PMI: $14 and get 10+ runs, take a nap, then go get another 10 runs...

If you want to run on the road course at PMI, I heard that they are requiring a half day safety class (with the other half on the track) this year because of insurance issues.
I think Judy over at Faasst is doing the classes:

I'll see if I can find out more info and post it on up.

I've only been to Bandimere and I like it. Just make sure you get there early for test and tune otherwise you will only get like 2-3 runs in.

My DA ran a 17.1 at Bandi. Mods were a DC header and a Borla exhaust.

So far, no classes have been scheduled. If you run with NASA, and advance to HPDE 2 then that counts as your requirement. If you want to take the Pueblo class, contact Earlene at ene5348@yahoo.com or call 719-240-4132 or 719-647-0937. The cost of the class is $199.00. This fee will cover 4 hours of instructions and 4 hours of track time.

NOTE: If you currently have proof of previous instruction i.e. - MRA instruction card, SCCA card, NASA certification or any previous private instructor classes etc. please let Earlene know. You will NOT be required to attend the PMP safety class.
