Where do you work at hondapower? I seriously live 1 block north of there. I was up registering for some last minute classes when I saw all of the rescues cars and trucks pulling in. I took some pics this morning aroung 6:30 when I woke up. They ahd been fighting it for 5.5hrs byu the time I got there and it would still shoot flames up into the air every once in a while. Then the water caused a whole bunch of ice and it made it hard for firefighters to get around.
I will post pics when I get home from school.

It said that people were throw other people out and jumping themselves. Thats just crazy when they have to bring themselves to jump out of a building knowing they are going to break some bones. But I guess that its better than being burned alive.

I work across the street by the Uhaul/Social security. Yea, I heard about all that water turning into ice all over the place, that's shitty. Fire is still going too, and now it's 500 people with no place to stay.

very sad, especially losing everything in this freakin' cold weather :( I hope they have family to go stay with through this difficult time. The sad thing is, you can replace most material possessions but there are sentimental things like photos and other things that can never been replaced with any amount of money. That is one of my worst nightmares...

When it's this cold outside, you burn all your energy just getting the equipment/hoses to the house itself. Then to have to search and fight fire, it can take a lot out of a person. I hope if they are a paid dept, they had enough people show up. Sucks to see the loss :(

Went down to Burger King on airport around 9 am. Smoke was still pouring out from that thing.

I was at our shop/office at platte and powers around 10:00 and it was just pouring smoke still. I just drove by on my way home from work and the place is just a mess....And to top it off there is a water main break one street over.

My cousin, her boyfriend, and their 9 month old baby lived there. Thank God they all got out okay, but they lost everything. They're staying with my aunt right now. :(

I wish I had a little more time this weekend and lived closer to the springs... they are taking donations of clothes, money, anything for those people since they lost EVERYTHING. :(

Must be a pretty big apartment complex eh? The only picture they show on that news site looks like a church or something. Any better pictures kicking around?

These were taken at 6:45 a.m.. They had been battling it for more than 5.5 hours at this point. It continued to burn through the day to the following morning.
