Go to a auto parts store like checkers or advanced. Pick up a K&N Filter Charging kit, follow the instructions and your done.

well if you have a K&N air filter use the little bottle of oil too clean it with! and if you have a generic filter try too find some of the oil stuff! try going too autozone! or just pressure wash it and let it dry LOL...

I know if you goto the AEM site they have a little vid of how they clean their filters. Pretty much they just have a cleaner in a bucket and dip the filter in a twist it in the water. Repeat a few times then let it dry off and oil it up if I remember correctly.

soak it in degreaser & wash it from the inside of the cone out or you will embed the dirt in to the filter. Or use a K%N kit. It will work with any cotton gauze filter. Summit also has A filter cleaning kit which has ur choice of oil color. (Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Green, etc.)

I just use the K&N filter kit, soak it with the soap shit, the blast it with a water hose from the inside out..........do that a couple times, then dry.....then use the oil form the kit

I have used simple green and water to clean the filter since I run out of cleaner faster than I do the oil. I have also heard from a reputable source that the oil K&N has for their recharge kit is nothing more than automatic transmission fluid.

Don't listen to this idiot, everything he is telling you is wrong. I have restrained myself from calling you names and attacking you but I can't hold back any longer. Oil doesn't clean the filter it is applied to the filter after you have already cleaned it. Pressure washing it will rip the filter apart and destroy it. You are taking the harder more expensive way to clean it. Following your method would ruin a $45 filter rather than spending the $15 to get the cleaning kit. Go to hell.
