to add to this. ive known some illegal workers at the resturants ive worked at - and their mission (almost 99.9% of illegal immagrants from mexico) work their ass off up here, and send most of the money down there to support their family. i wonder how much this effects our economy. think about it.. the mexicans i know, work 2-3 jobs, and are probobly pulling in Average $1,000 - $1,500/month. multiply that by the millions of mexican workers, and 90% of that money getting sent to mexico. to make the economy work, people have to put back the money they earn. spend it, grow it, invest it. you cant send it off to dirty mexico. period.

If we took over Mexico and annexed it we would have to spend billions to clean up the government, and all the civil systems that are in that country. They are on electrical and water systems from the 30s and 40s still. It's not economically viable. Its cheaper to spend millions on border patrol and economy leaks through immigrant workers. I'm not against immigrant workers being here and making money. I am against them doing it tax free, with free health care. As an employer, I have to pay taxes on my US employees. If I had illegals working for me it makes it much cheaper adding to my bottom line. This is where America went wrong in the first place. If the US starts to penalize employers more sternly for these actions, the jobs will go away, and the illegals will be required to be tax paying US citizens to work here. Its the only cure for the hemorrhaging of the country.
