well to get the old valve seals off, you can use pliers or vice grips and get them off, then the new ones just pop on. btw, you have to take the valves and springs off first if you didnt know! lol

if you have that adapter that fills the cylinder with compressed air you dont need to remove the head/valves. just the springs.

$75 must be only labor cuz at $1.67 each those seals are gonna eat up $25 of that. It's an easy DIY if you have that adapter boostedEG is talking about. Then get a spring compressor that bolts to the top of the head and you're all set. You can find both on Ebay pretty cheap.

yes your right 75 for labor plus I throw in a resurface if the head is off the car. You can do it yourself, your right but it'll take three hours for someone who hasnt done it before and no more than an hour for someone who works at a machine shop!

Takes about 30 min to an hour to resurface the head depending on the surface, and hell 3 hours to do them isn't that bad. If he doesn't pull the head he won't need the resurface, hell even if he does he still might not. That will change CR and other clearances, even if it is just a very small amount.

our machine surfaces the head in less than five minutes with a finish in which you can see your face in. It takes .006 of milling to take away 1cc of chamber volume, it takes 3 to 4cc depending on the head to change the CR tenth of a point and it takes me less than an hour to fully dissasemble the head, surface it, clean it and reassemble it, so before you write up something that you think you know about do some research, I dont need anybody telling me what I know about machine work seeing as though I work at a machine shop and am the head assembler for 15,000+ race engines! I was just offering this guy some quality half price machine work, take it as that or leave it!

I do know what I am talking about, I run a shop buddy. So with your 10 or so posts why don't you find out who people are before you make an assumption that they don't know shit. This is how others get in trouble here and have to make an apology.

BTW i'll vouch for lucarelli.

i have never meet him in person, but i know of him through 60-1teg, and others. and about a year ago i traded him a GSR head for a B16 head. the head was exactly as described and VERY clean.
