okay well ive been sick for a couple of days now (strp throat) and one of my tonsils wants too be the bigger BItch LOL...it keeps getting swollen etc.....PAIN PAIN!!!!! and well i have surgery Next Tuesday! too get them removed OH NO.....has anyone had theres removed here on HAI! Im scared:cry: ! Did it hurt? LMK

They are susceptible to infections like tontilitis. Some people get it alot, so by removing the tontils they no longer get it. Also, some people have really big tontils that restrict their airway.
