Hey guys, i have needed new shocks on my teg for a while now, and with the price that shocks alone are, it seems that "suspenion kits" which include lowering springs, which i would like, are not too much more expensive.

i was looking at the Tokico kit like this:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/performance/brand.php?makeid=2&modelid=3&year=1996&partid=283
anybody have any experience with it? or with any tokico products? i am probably only going to keep the car for another 6 months at most, so would some OEM type shocks be a better option?

if so, which oem type shocks would you guys reccommend?

thanks.
Zach

Those will work. About the same price I paid for my Edelbrocks with Eibach springs. Tokiko I guess is good, never used them.

Tokico HP plus lowering springs for $460 is a bit pricey, IMO.

The HP shocks should be around $60 a piece.

We use, sell and install Tokico in many customer and personal cars. They are some of the best aftermarket OEM replacement shocks you can buy without going to a true coilover. I can match any of the prices of those products on that page for you as well.

The HP+ shocks retail at $95-$100 I havent seen them under $70 for a few years now since they redesigned them.

I've purchased from jdmwerks on eBay, and he has some of the lowest prices and fastest shipping. I got my shocks within a business week (shipped UPS Ground too which took the longest). His feedback speaks for itself too, so if you are on a budget and looking for good shocks, check it out.

I ended up pricing out KYB AGX adjustables for under $300 shipped for all 4 which is crazy cheap for a good set of adjustables.

here's a set of cheap used Tokico blues and Ground Control/Maxspeed coilover sleeves:
