well i have s300 and msd on my car. i just got a msd 2 step from a friend and was wondering if i should put it on my car? what would you guys recomend. i know s300 has fuel cut not sure if it has ignition cut like the msd 2step. but the question is which one is better. msd 2 step or s300 3step? thanks
Hondata already has a 2-step in it's software. Just stick with the Hondata 2-step. If you're interested in selling the MSD 2-step, let me know. I'd be interested in picking it up from ya'.

i know hondata s300 already has the 3step but which one is better? which would built boost more. i have both and i heard the s300 3step on hodata.com and it sounds kind da weak?
Anti-lag builds boost off the line, not a 2-step. Both 2-steps are going to accomplish the same exact thing. You're trusting which one you like better off of "hearing one on the internet"? LOL.
The MSD is a 2-step, not a 3-step.
Just stick with the Hondata one.

i am not trusting anything thats why i made this thread so i can get some info and make the right choice. i want a good performance but i also dont want anything that sounds like the one i saw on the internet. i ve never heard anyother 3 step from hondata before. thats why i said it. i ve only heard msd 2 step and they sounds nice but i dont know the differences on the performance.
LOL.. ok so you come on here asking for which one is better. I tell you, and you more or less call me a liar. No, you're totally right. I have no idea what I'm talking about. I haven't the slightest idea what I'm doing when it comes to modding cars. My bad.
Why the hell do you care what it SOUNDS like? Worry about how it effects the performance of your launches.
Think of it this way, the Hondata 2-step is PART OF YOUR ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. The MSD 2-step is a completely seperate part that doesn't even TOUCH your EMS. More explanation needed here?
By the way, exhaust sounds 100 x's different on a computer vs. real life. I gauruntee it sounds completely different in real life versus what you heard on www.whateverthefuck.com/vtak_jdm.org

Chill the fuck out, pommy. Not once did I see him call you a liar. You must have some kind of mean streak or something. Go pop some zantacs.
^ Kill yourself.
i am not trusting anything thats why i made this thread
I told him to trust what I was saying. If he doesn't want to believe the answers I gave him which he was looking for, he never should have made the thread.
Either way, geezer, now you know. /thread

cool thanks for the help.
o by the way i said i am not trusting ANYTHING. i am talking about the 2 different 2step.
Doesn't matter. Good luck either way, and let me know if you wanna sell the MSD 2-step.

A 2 step will still build boost.
I get 4-5 psi with mine, which cuts fuel.
If you ask me, if the stock ecu can do it... then the MSD is just something else that can go wrong.

Just stick w/ the hondata 2-step.
I've never heard of a 2-step on a Honda being able to build more than MAYBE 1 psi if they're lucky. *shrug*

I'm confused and for a change the grammar wasn't too bad! I thought if I read this 2 times I might be able to figure it out but I guess not. Here is my opinion. If product "a" does what product "b" does but "b" also runs the car, why add product "a"? It's just going to add weight and take power and other shit away from the car. Just use the damn Hondata and sell m@ the MSD so we can weigh down his car!

umm.... the msd 2 step weighs like 2 ounces
matt what do you mean you have never seen 2-step on a honda build more than 1 psi? topher (sp?) was making 28 psi with AEM 2-step.
You sure about that? You sure it wasn't anti-lag?

AEM has 2-Step
That's fine and all, but I specifically remember Topher telling me he was running anti-lag.

When i hooked mine up to my e-brake i had to look in the AEM manual and it said 2-step

AEM and hondata call it 2-step, but it does the same thing as antilag.
i used to have an MSD SCI+ ingition with 2-step, and it was a rev limiter ONLY that was activated when the clutch was in. i believe antilag is the same thing, but it also activates a timing retard or fuel cut or whatever it does to load the motor.
AFAIK the msd 2-step box is also just a rev-limiter, or atleast thats what it was designed for, but people found a way to turn it into an antilag device just by hooking it up a certain way.
