is there a local place with a flow bench so that i could see if the airflow even improved?

Port polishing is a huge waste of time and is only for fags. Didn't you read my thread?

thanks i might take you up on that. i already have 2 or 3 LS heads that i was planning to practice on since they are so cheap, but after i go through those and learn a little i might hit you up.

Look on Yahoo or google. There are plenty of sites that have info on "how to".

Remember you said it, not anyone else.

The most I would ever do w/o a flowbench is port matching and and polish the exhaust ports. Once you start getting into reshaping the ports a flow bench is essential. If you wanna know if it helps or not. You'll need to have a variety of grinder bits, and sandpaper rolls. Go get a few junk heads and go to town with them. See what works and what doesn't.

Really none in the Springs that wouldn't charge an arm and a leg. I would suggest looking on Ebay or calling shops in Denver or Pueblo. I'll see if we still have the home made on and get specs for you and you can make one.

My friend robert bought a book at hastings that had a lot of good info. He ported his 4ag head on his corolla; made a noticeable difference.
He didnt have a flow bench to test it out he just kinda made them look even. A flow bench is nearly required to get even flow

Well if you go too far you can actually rob power. You have to know when to stop, well close to that point, and a flow bench is needed for that. Our "home made" one was like $900 but most of that cost was labor to build and the pump to run it. It is just a becnch top that we used until we got the Flowmaster.
