"Inside of the pipe you will find the key components of the VIS, a pressure based valve to allow for optimum back-pressure on the low end, and unrestricted air flow for the top end."
Notice the mention of "back-pressure"... It's an intake, there is no back pressure! Even on an exhaust, there is no such thing as "optimum back-pressure", because any back pressure at all is bad. I'm sure what they are talking about is optimal flow velocity, but they clearly lack any understanding of physics, so I doubt the product they designed works very well.
