DYNO DAY AT TC'S PERFORMANCE!!

**1/25/07 - UPDATE** - EVEN THOUGH IT'S SCHEDULED TO SNOW ON SATURDAY,
THE DYNO DAY WILL HAPPEN ON SUNDAY!!!

OUR MAIN NUMBER MAY STILL BE ON THE FRITZ SUNDAY, SO CALL (720) 974-1088 IF YOU NEED DIRECTIONS

WE NEED A MINIUMUM OF 7 CARS (if less people show, the group is required to pay the remaining balance).
We'd like to see 16 or more people because it gives everyone a break on pricing.

When: Sunday, January 28th

Time: 9:00 a.m. until we're done

What: This is a 2wd chassis dyno (sorry AWD guys, but that doesn't mean you can't come hang out with us)

Where: TC's Performance - 5415 W. 59th Ave Unit G; Arvada (Map: http://www.tcperf.com/contact.php)

Investment: 7 cars = $45/per person ~ 8-15 cars = $35/per person ~ 16-30 cars = $30/per person

Food: We will have hot chocolate in the morning and some hot dogs/chips in the afternoon.

Runs:
If there are 7 cars, you will get 3 runs each plus a dyno sheet printout
If there are 8-15 cars, you will get 2 runs each plus a dyno sheet printoutIf there are 16-30 cars, you will get 2 runs each plus a dyno sheet printout

This is a great way to meet other HAI members, ask questions and compare numbers ;)

It will be 2 runs per car. The $10 days were a one time deal when the dyno was new. I doubt it will ever be that cheap again, its too much work to dyno 50+ cars in a day.

1500 ft/lb x 2.48 1st gear x 4.10 rear....
around 15000 rear wheel torque. Your dyno could handle that right?

direct drive in the trans is 3rd gear, but you still get the 4.1:1 rear. I currently don't know of anyone that has a 1:1 rear end gear for a 9", but if you can find one by dyno day I'll slap it back together and see what it puts down. Any prizes for 1st place (a 10K sponsorship for the 2008 race season would make it worth it for me :D)

I just moved out to CO back in august. and i had a buddy tune my teg with Crome . And this high elevation is makin my car sloowww.
Anyways i think i need to get a new chip burned at this elevation. Can they tune with Crome? and will i be able to buy a chip from um. i want to keep my old one for when i go back home.

POE - no tuning on the dyno day. Tobi does tune Chrome, so just give us a call at the shop and we can set something up for you (720) 974-0888. Hopefully we'll see you on the 28th...even if you don't get to dyno, there will be a bunch of HAIers there to meet.

Ugh... I'm going to have to "M@ out"... I found the Porsche's issue (just a cracked vacuum line before the FPR), but I also found a crack and a small leak in the rubber fuel line, so I need to order a new one. Then I went to replace the valve cover gasket, and discovered that the FUCKING HAYNES MANUAL had it all wrong... it showed it being simple and straight-forward, so I went to do it and came to find out that you can't do it without pulling the timing belt, and I may have passed the point of no return on that, so I might as well just order a new timing belt and stuff and do that too.

It's not really broken down... it's just that I tried to work on it, and now it's broken. Assuming I didn't screw up the timing belt alignment, I could put it back together and drive it, but I might as well just fix everything before I put it back together...
