So I have been a member of the Glendale chamber since I took my job and although we donate to a lot of the events they do I've never been to any of the meetings or events. Last night they had the annual "holiday after hours" which just happens to be sponsored by the Penthouse Club.

Open bar..at a strip club..and free food! On top of that, I met some really, really, cool people and it wasnt like the Denver chamber at all. Denver is like hundreds of people, never see the same people twice hardly, this was a lot more fun and very social, no hidden agendas there or secret handshakes or anything I think everyone just had a great time.

So it may be easy to laugh at the little city of Glendale..but it was just about the most fun "business" event I've ever been to..had a blast! :)

Doubtful that anyone on here lives or has a business in Glendale..but hey, ya never know..

wasn't Glendale the city that was in trouble for brothels and hookers about a year ago? Then the party is hosted by penthouse??

But still sounds like a blast...

Ya, a government paid for function at a Strip Club?
Seems like a real poor choice if you dont want to piss off the tax payers.

Chamber of Commerce isnt an goverment agency..so there is no worries about that. They are mostly a collection of businesses that want to worry about silly things, like...you know..doing better business and making money.

We pay for our membership, besides, everyone knows the real income for a city isnt from the people, its from the businesses. :)

I'd rather socialize in a strip club w/ fellow businessmen then playing golf :D
