you don't need a wax job like that unless you plan to keep your car clean for once

Yup, in fact, it's even possible on the paint job of a 4 year old daily driver of a car sold new for under $20k.

Also, with detailing pics, it's usually like 30% the deail job, and 70% the picture job. I've done amazing details that looked just decent in pictures. I've also seen mediocre details look amazing in a picture.
I suck with photography but managed to get a few decent shots of cars I did. I am curious what someone like Mario could do though.

It can even be done with a car that's 12 yrs old with over 120k miles and single stage paint. These won't look as impressive because the color is red instead of black (and because I suck at pictures), so I'll include the before pics to really show off the shine. If you looked at this car in person and the car from the pics above, I think you would be equally impressed. This volvo came out such a deep red I was stunned.
Before: (pay special attention to the poor clarity of the paint)

Ok, just one more then I am done whoring this thread.
I think the super shiny mirror surface look on a black car is nice. It draws attention because people don't really see it often. However, for my own car, I would go with the deep wet look. Just something about a smooth black car that is appealing.

Yep, Paul kicks ass. He had my black ITR looking amazing. Enough coats of Zaino applied per the instructions can work wonders on cars of all colors.

I haven't detailed any cars lately. I usually charged like $60-$100 or so. I really didn't do it to make money, especially the cars that were really bad to start with. The ones with dead paint or lots of swirls are fun just to see what kind of results I can get. I enjoy detailing those a lot more than a brand new expensive car with a nearly flawless paint job.

Dave, gonna get the jHeep done? The Dr would love to see that mess. It would be magical if he could get something good from Tonnerres....err...wait, that wasn't his paint job.
