wait so how much are they going to give you for your S200?? I mean you can still sell them for $200-300. Just tring to see if it would be worth it to sell the s200 then buy the s300, or just trade it in...???

Hey Tobi a couple questions,
I am still running a 2b with boost(obviously) and I have no idea what features (ie. datalogging, etc.) were/are purchased originally on the box because I solely use it for air/fuel management.
1. The website is not exactly clear with the boost option, so not knowing what features are on the box and knowing what the standard s200 comes with how much would it cost me to upgrade my Hondata 2b (box# 2bn979) to a s200 with boost?
2. Another reason driving me to buy a s200 is because I recently had my car tuned with a s200 box and V3.0. I ran great! But when I went to plug my 2b box back in, it ran very poorly...and not as good. So then we tried converting the tune to the V2.5 and still the same problems. This was all assuming that the tuner (at SCI motorsports san antonio, TX) was correct in thinking "it shouldn't matter" So the question is was he correct in thinking this? And what exactly is the difference between v2.5 and v3.0? Is it worth having the guy send me a new rom with my tune in v3.0 when I get the s200?
Edit>
3. Since, I just use the hondata for a/f would an s100 be a better option for me (ie. cheaper). If so what changes do I need to make it work for my car?
Sorry for the long post.
And thanks for your help!!

The upgrade is not for the staged sytem to the S200, only to the S300. If I were you I would take advantage of the new pricing on the s100. It now ships with the boost option on all units and is only $195. Then try to sell your stage 2 for whatever you can get out of it. You cant tune the hondata 2b with an S200 system then just transfer the bin over and run the 2b box. The programs are not compatible that way.

OH its only for the s300? And the programs are not compatible? Then someone needs to tell hondata that their website is out of date and is misleading on the subject of tradins and that you can still tune old stage systems using current s200 software. If it was up to date I would never have asked the questions. See what I mean on the V3 upgrade page:

thanks again!

You are talking about trading up to a S200 from a staged unit. This thread is about trading your S200 in for an S300.
