View Full Version : How Do I reset CEL in 02 VW?

Can someone tell me how to reset the CEL in a 02 GTI. We are trading in the car, but they want to drive it first. Should I pull the Negative for a long period of time? Or... any other suggestions?

yes pull the negitive for 5 min

Pull the negative and pump the brake a few times.

Or you can look for a relay or fuse for the ecu.

stand on one foot, slap hung, call him martha, pee on him, and pull the negitive from the battery.

I was going to say ecu fuse or unplug battery also.
