Saturday morning 10/28 around 2-2:30am at the intersection of Sante Fe & 9th, leo, brit, my gf ellen and myself just finished attending a Halloween party. Ellen's friend was being typical drunk asian and highly emotional because some shit with her and her bf.
Being that she was stranded, we tried to get her to my car so i can drop her off at home, but she was making a big ass commotion and drawing some attention from passer-bys. I was holding on to her purse and was trying to pick her up and throw into my car when a red 1st Gen durango with tinted windows pulls up. A guy jumps out of the driver side, mexican probably about 5'9-5'10, 160-170 pounds sporting a black leather jacket. He walks up to the girls who were to my right and asked if everything is okay. Leo is at my car which is parked right across the street from us.
I tell him the girls are fine, thanks and try to brush him off. He's stating how he's trying to be a good samaritan and trying to help out. He walks back towards his ride, i turn back and address the girls. At that point out of the corner of my eye, i see him reaching towards the purse that was on my right arm. i turn around and hold on to it just as the ass fuck tried to snatch it. Guess he thought i was too drunk or stupid to hold on to her purse. He tried to yank it 2-3 times then i side kicked him to the chest. That stuns him for a sec, when his buddy in the driver seat comes out. This guy is about 5'8-5'9, mexican and probably 180-200 pounds. Looks like he was about to pull a gun on me, i ready myself to disarm him if he really did have a gun. The guy i kicked comes back trying to snatch the purse again, i'm more worried about his new friend. The driver manages to get 2 punches in on my head, just as i'm ready to start swinging. Leo runs over to us and screams " What the fuck yo!"
Wetbacks probably got scared and ran back to the durango. Car is a 1st gen, tinted windows, but looks like it was repainted. Definately not the usual red color that came with the car, more like a newer Chrysler Red. I run after the driver, he tries to close his door, but i grab it and slam it opened. He reaches down for something, and at this point as pissed off as I am, I realize if it's a gun, i shouldn't be fucking around. The Durango takes off like a bat out of hell. Not sure if it was Leo screaming, or because they heard the police sirens, but they take off.
So if anyone has any information or know of this car/owner. I would greatly appreciate it.
