View Full Version : A4 Headlight bulb replacement help?

So last night as I was going to dinner, my passenger side headlight burned up in my new car. :( Anyone have a good link or resource for replacing bulbs in the 2003+ A4? See a lot of the older models out there, but my car seems to be a bit different.

Looking around for bulbs was kinda funny however..apparently "JDM" yellow bulbs are increasingly popular..the thought almost made me want to vomit..but it was still funny.

The manual says "take it to your Audi dealer" of course..because there are some parts that need to be removed..yeah I dont think so.

Anyway, as fun as driving around with my "bulb out" indicator flashing me all the time, and the fact that its hard to see in general, I kinda want to get this done this weekend. Any help or good links apprciated. :)

Doesn't appear so. They do look like a PITA to change out though.

I looked up Audi's and 2003-2005 A4's are HID's......if so, you're fucked

The HIDs are optional, its either that or normal H7 bulbs.

HID is an option..that my car doesnt have. Nobody has any Audi resources? You all suck! :)

HID bulbs aren't too hard to change out, really. and what Hung said..

Well..not really, but its quite impossible to get to the bulb without removing the rest of the housing. I figure while I have it apart I might as well do the pass side to which involves ripping off the airbox and all kinds of other fun. I dont really think its all that hard, I'd just rather know exactly what I'm getting into before I tear my car apart. :)

I replaced my A4 bulbs with silverstars - high, low & fog.

Have you used google or yahoo to search for "replace 2003 A4 headlamp bulb"?

It does require removal of the headlights to replace the bulbs, not nearly as bad as it sounds though.

have you called Mcdonald Audi and the other Audi dealers around? they can chane your bulbs out.. whether you supply the bulb or not.. you'll just have to pay for the bulb from the dealer.
