I called in, looks like we have 5" here right now.
Roads didnt look good in ColoSprings on the traffic cam.

I just got to work. I had a good 6" on my car this morning. I barely got out of first gear the whole way to work. I only got sideways once and i was just driving straight and hit ice and turned sideways. I got a little nervous on that one since I was coming up to an intersection. lol.

The roads were just damp and slushy up north here. No slippage or anything on the way to work.

about 6-8" in morrison (almost conifer), I didn't feel like measuring. The roads weren't too bad on the way to work, but the drivers were.

I need to run to the bank (mile down the road) and take my dog out, I'll give an update on the conditions when I do.

I thought I was going to die on 36 today, had to drive from Westminster to Louisville and my life flashed before my eyes a half dozen times....lol

Got a couple inches up in westminster, didn't ever take my truck out of 2wd on my way to work. Wasn't bad even on 36, if only people would learn how to fucking drive.

How is it in your area? I'm around Academy and Union, and we got dumped on.

If you saw a green Frontier around Westminster, he was probably at full lock countersteer and his name was probably Kinematics. :D

Pretty shitty around Powers/Constitution. Tried to make it out the driveway with the 4Runner and I got stuck for about 20 minutes.;NutKick;

I wasn't here for the infamous blizzard of 97. Is this comparable? At least in the Springs? My first blizzard...if it can be called that

Mario

I wouldn't call this a blizzard in all honesty.

The blizzard in 02 or 03 was cool too. There was a good 3 ft of snow.

That one fucking ruled. I built a huge kicker in the park by my house, drank a bunch of jagermeister and taught myself how to 360 on a snowboard.

I need more snow dammit!

The blizzard of 97 was way worse than this. There was like 2 1/2 feet of snow down in my area that year. BTW it's pretty nasty down here by Academy and Astrozon.

Blizzard of 87 > *

Shit I was only 5, but I remember seeing pics from Federal Heights and the snow was up to my dads shoulders!

Looks like I will really need to get rid of the S14 before I make the move there.

Wow.

No not really. By time I was up at 12, the roads were already plowed and clear.

Pepe, My m3 made it just fine for the most part. Just get a set of winter tires and you'll be fine.

I think that it needs to start snowing again... just as soon as I figure out wtf I'm going to do about a daily driver.

+1 for daily drivers. My mother in law took the 4Runner, it wasn't fun pulling the R out. I felt like I was the snow plow.

Our power was out most of the day, nearly all the signal lights in westy were out as well..it made for an interesting drive. People smashing into each other all over the place. I was really happy with the Audi's performance in the snow..with the traction control on you cant even do stupid shit if you are TRYING too..it was great. :)

Bad day for me as far as electrical stuff goes however...

1) power out most of the day at home (went off briefly at my store too and f'ed up my elevator for a bit/alarm company called/freaked people out)
2) headlight in my car blew up
3) got home and tried to turn my big UPS back on and it make this nice "POP!" sound and had the secret smoke smell...sounded like a capacitor short or maybe just a 120V circuit being shorted. So now that thing is garbage.

We had NO blizzard however, not nearly enuf snow OR wind to be a blizzard..it was still a decent storm however. If it would have kept snowing like that for like 24 hours..we'd have a real mess. :)

Man I'm too cheap to get winter tires on the 240.

I'll just leave the S14 in the garage and drive the Civic instead haha
