They'll usually bitch and moan about it, but it rarely causes an actual problem.

I had 17" inch rims on my Del Slo ages ago and they wouldn't let me test on them with low profile tires so I had to go home and change the front ones. If its factory they can't do anything about it but after market & low profile they won't let you most likely

You can do it with either but they'll ask you to sign a waiver first.

their rollers have the possibility of damaging the wheels so they are covering their ass.

hey blue ! why did you have to raise the front end up? did 14's make it to low?
yea my car used to be 2-3inchs from the ground with the 16 then putting 14s on the body was touching the ground

when I used to work there most people didn't know how to drive it on the dyno they say you have have low profiles because there are retriants that come off the side from the superflow dyno. and if they drive can't it stable he'll end up hitting it and fucking up the wheel or tires. I've seen it happen a few times. It's kind of goes the same for 4x4 they can't have anything bigger then 33" tires. It's pretty dumb I'm hoping they do away with emission in next year when the contract expires. I've looked at the statistics and about less then there percent fail. And the with that failure rate they don't fail as bad.

as far as wheel size 18 inches from factory can get an exception on a dyno test. You'll just take an idle test

The only problem I had is they put the front wheels of the S2000 on the rollers. I had to go out and argue with them :( Damn honda FWD stereotype!! The civic needed stockies on it, no low pro lovin for me.

i did emissions on my s2000 with 18's and lowered and it was fine... didn't have to sign a waiver or anything

It wouldnt be a problem if they strapped the cars down. You know there is a reason there are anchor points cemented in around the dyno
I know they strapped Hals Eclipse down after seeing under his hood with the giant GT4088R sitting there.

is it just a denver thing to use the dyno for emmisions? i just got mine in colorado springs all they did was an idle and 2500 test.
