Alright I am finishing up my swap and I had a couple of questions. On my d15 there was a sensor that looks like this that is threaded into the block right underneath the intake manifold and sits right next to another sensor, Im guessing it's the coolant temperature sensor.

If so would it plug into this sensor on the thermostat housing?

My last question is, is this plug important? It is a d16y7 and has nothing to plug into on my obd-0 harness.

Not sure what the first one is... Maybe intake air temp sensor??? Just a guess since I can't tell from the picture.
The plug on the thermostat housing should be the temperature switch that controls the radiator fan. This is a simple on/off switch, and not the coolant temperature sensor that the ECU reads (that one should be on the head).
The wire & plug coming from behind the crank pulley is most likely the crankshaft position sensor. I believe this is only used on OBD-II (and maybe OBD-I).

The sensor in the first pic was just under the intake manifold on the block, hopefully that'll help. I do think that it is some kind of coolant temp though because when I pulled it out there was just coolant behind it???????
Thanks for the help Weston.

The last picture is actually the crankshaft fluctuation sensor, used by OBD2 to detect misfires, OBD2 detects crankshaft position using the distributor just like the other OBD versions.

The first pic is the fan switch. Move that connector to the one on the thermostat housing. (second pic)
Third pic is crankshaft speed sensor only used on OBD-II ECUs.

i did exactly the same swap to my bro's EF EX and had to do the same thing with the fan switch. i just wired it in to the one on the thrmostat housing(the fan runs all the time, better than not a all)and took off the speed sensor piece. did you already get your mpfi done?

no I haven't done the mpfi swap yet but I am going to do that once I get the manifold.
