you seem to talk a lot of shit considering your car probably has less than 100 hp.
anyways, dyno's look pretty good cept for its going pretty lean in the beginning. whats with that? are you just running an FMU?

whats with the little drops in the curve at 4600 and 6200 rpms? can you feel any little "stumbles" while driving it?

15-20 less than his 250 WHP? not if its a honda - im waiving a big "bullshit" flag.

about 6k is when the dual mani switches over. as far as it being lean... since its a centi blower, it doesnt make any boost till 3.4k... thats what id say. its running a dyno tune from diablosport, no standalone fmu. it doesnt need it.

so what do you think? 250hp, 200tq in a 2700lb package... could be pretty quick i think

Good S/C numbers. Any issues with the motor under that power level?
For people that don't know, the '04 SVT motor has nearly identical specs to a Honda B20Z, but with a little more compression and top-end. I have the non-SVT Zetec in my daily driver, which is more like a B20B.
'98-04 Ford Zetec-SVT
Displacement: 1988cc
Compression: 10.2:1
Bore: 84.8 mm
Stroke: 88 mm
Redline: 7200 rpm
Power: 170 hp @ 7000 rpm
Torque: 140 ft-lbs @ 5500 rpm
'99-01 Honda B20Z
Displacement: 1974 cc
Compression: 9.6:1
Bore: 84 mm
Stroke: 89 mm
Redline: 6700 rpm
Power: 146 hp @ 6200 rpm
Torque: 133 ft-lbs @ 4500 rpm

hmm, tq numbers seem kinda low for a charger. I make nearly that much torque NA in my V6.

Not really. Those are good numbers for a supercharger. S/C numbers are generally lower than a turbo on the same boost level. His numbers are pretty comparable to what you'd see on a similar Honda engine with a S/C @ 10 psi.
His numbers are also at the wheels, not at the crank. Your crank HP and torque numbers would be 15-20% lower at the wheels.

if thats true, then my numbers would be little less than 300hp and 230tq. thats fine with me, but i like whp... no bs'ing there. and we'll see about the sc'd honda. ive got an "appointment" with my friends 01 jrsc civic si with full bolt-on's.

Nice numbers, but it looks like you need to reinforce your ignition to eliminate the jagged curve.

just remember that the SAE smoothing is on zero... and the dynos pretty typical of these fi'd foci... thanks though.

Looks like correction was at 1.26. So your uncorrected whp if my calculations are right is 185.17 and 143.88tq.

'98 Contour LX :D Bone stock, but with some aftermarket Focus parts, it would make a hell of a sleeper... if I wanted another money pit.

Those ARE my WTQ numbers. Granted my WHP is considerably less. But I guess that makes sense since you can't really compare an NA V6 to a SC'ed I4.

Don't take this as me downplaying you're power output. I think what you are making is awesome. You woudl definitely smoke me in a race as my car weighs over 3000 lbs. I think around 3300 with me in it.

thats not too bad for a 3.0 v6... no offense taken, i was just curious cuz it sounds like similar specs to a v6 stang.
have you done some work to it? they are supposed to have 200hp and 195tq at the flywheel. thats like an amazing trannie w/1% loss or something ;)
ghost_masterCL
10-20-2006, 02:50 PM
haha I wish it was stock witht hat much power. I have pretyt much every single NA mod you can do to it short of internal engien work.
Intake, headers, axleback 2.25" exhaust (I would probably net about 5 more hp up top with a catback 2.5" piping), J32A2 cams, thermoblok spacers, helix spacer, UR lightweight crank and alt pullies, MSD ingition and coil, NGK plugs and wires, VAFC2 tuned.
and a autotragic transmission witha 25% drivetrain loss.
I checked, got a stock dyno and made only 152 WHP, 148 WTQ.
the tranny is on it's way out so I don't htink it;s making that much power to the wheels now since hte tq converter is acting like shit, but fortunately I have a performance rebuild with all kidns of goodies standing by for when it does go out.

couldnt you swap a 6speed outta a rsx-s into it when the time comes? i know just about every honda part is interchangeable???
ghost_masterCL
10-20-2006, 03:53 PM
I can swap in the 6speed MT from the 03+ accord V6's, or the CLS 6MT with LSD. I already spend the omney on the 4AT performance rebuild so I'm just gonna stick with that. Plus those two 6MT transmissions are hard as hell to find and cost a TON($4000+) when you do find them. and that's not including hte additional $2000 for parts and labor to get them to work.

hey man nice numbers do you have pics of your engine compartment :) i would like to see how it is setup what head unit you running?
BlkThunder
02-21-2007, 05:07 PM
sorry about the really old thread... if u saw my engine compartment you'd think that i only had a cai. the head unit sits below the passenger headlight with a funky side mount intercooler right next to the blower underneath. then i had the piping powdercoated black to be a bit more subtle. i've got pics somewhere if you're still interested.

after another round of tuning (cured the richter scale) and upping the boost a tad i finally got to run the civic. i walked him pretty hard but it was still a good race.
now time to up the boost a tad and convert to a front mount. then i'll get some updated dynos. anyone know a good shop in town for a custom 3" exhaust. somewhere that can do a 3" flex and 3" orp as well with mandral bends please

Not bad numbers. . . should race an srt-4. Would be close. . . maybe.
Your short about 10whp and 50wtq of a stock one, but they do weigh around 2950 driver included.

ive had them for a little while, im just installing them this weekend.
And even if that wasnt the case, yes i would rather spend the money to better my car than throw it away on gas to drive to denver.
Im throwing my money away to drive to denver...... nice drive too lol
