Ran across this the other day, I cant pick it up right now so I thought I would throw it up here. I called the guy and he said it had some rear end damage but all the body work is done but it still needs paint. Other than that it sounds like a great deal, I was going to try to pick it up but my money situation and pending kid coming is stoping me :( here is the craigslist

there's more info on this car in the CO forum on team-integra.net, a few people have looked at it. basically, it needs a lot of work and isn't the super deal that it seems. still, a Type R for $6500..

I read that thread as well, I was going to sell my 4dr GSR and pick this up but I dont think I want to get upside down on a car right now with the kid coming. Sounds like a whole re-paint + some body work and some motor work probably will go over 10k total so after all I dont think it would be worth it for me to go through all that. Too bad I really wanted it even got approved on the loan :(

For sure Nate let me know what you think man I am still toying with the idea and even if you dont like it I might still pick it up I mean I have wanted a R for a long time now and this is the cheapest one I have seen may be the one you never know. But let me know what you think I am all the way up in FTC otherwise I wouldnt mind taking a look either but thats a drive for me.

Pretty good price on that R but then it depends how much work it needs.

Full paint, 148k miles (Although was "rebuilt" in the past few thousand miles), and nothing else doen to the car. The car is tired, and a paint job would cost at least $2k unless you knew someone. I dunno, just doesn't seem like a "great" deal to me. It is an R, but how long will you have that R before it gets stolen nowdays? Don't get me wrong, if I had the money, I would do it for a little better deal, but thats me.

i wouldnt buy that thing it has had the rear clip replaced, and from reading ti.net post it was a hackjob seems sketch to me

I'd love to have the car, but then again I'd be worried that it was going to get stolen anywhere I'd take it to. :'( It's sad that it has to be that way...

I have test drove that car I don't really feel much of a difference between that and my old stock gsr

Does the car have a clean title? And was the whole right rear cut out and replaced or just a new rear 1/4? Regarding the motor, did he say it was indeed rebuilt or not? People are saying the car needs some mechanical work and it feels slow and tired, yet someone also stated it was recently rebuilt??

He told me it was recently rebuilt. It is a complete rear quarter, includeing the shock tower. It is a CLEAR title. I just didn;t feel as it was a great deal...and he is firm at the price he's asking.

How firm was he on the price I think it sounds like its worth more around the 6 range. The big factor for me is that I would sell a mint 4dr GSR for it then I would still have to pay off the rest of the loan and put the $ into more work it would need. Grrrrrraaahhhh but I want it lol.

I work with the owner of this R and it does need paint, but the interior is in Perfect shape and the engine is Fucking strong. He moved up here from Florida and due to the high altitude........decided to rebuild the engine without boost............= insane for what it is.
