View Full Version : Winter tires on lowered car?

Anyone have any suguestions on a good winter tire? Im looking for my 93 EG, and I have to get from Broomfield, to boulder for work...I had my subaru wagon last year for winter, but this year I'll be running my EG coupe, and Im probably going to lower it. I have a few diffrent sets of rims in my back yard I can use, but probably a 13 or 14 inch wheel...

Any Ideas?

I had a set of Hakkepelitas on my civic hatch before. That thing was fun in the snow.

ive got some kind of all season tire on my hatch, lowered, so ive got no idea on how its going to handle but im excited to find out

I had some all season yokohamas on my civic back in the day and only once did I ever even come close to getting stuck, and that car was about as low as physically possible(Picture sparks flying off the back of the car driving down a normal road after small bumps). Even in the "blizzard" a few years back where everything shut down we were out driving around in my civic.

How tall the car is should have nothing to do with what kind of tires you buy.

it really has nothing to do with the kind of tires, but a lowered car would have a tendancy to get stuck in deep snow much easier.

I like Yok's YK420's. I have them on my SI wheels as well as my beater. They do great.

I'm on Yoko Ice Guards. Curious to see how they do in the snow myself.

i love blizzaks.

X2 Blizzaks are the sh!t in the snow. Had a lady come in with an S2K today and had us change her yoko snow tires with some blizzaks. Awesome tires
